Lake-side walking track through conservation area

This walking track is a great example of DirtGlue paving being utilised in a rural, and sensitive environmental location.

Greentrack Tasmania was first approached in 2019 by the Southern Midlands Council, with ambitions for a new 1km walking track alongside Lake Dulverton, in Oatlands, Tasmania. The planned track was close to a nature conservation area.

Their preference was for a sealed track, requiring low maintenance. The three paving solutions for consideration were DirtGlue, concrete and bitumen.

Ultimately, the Council chose to pave the track with DirtGlue.

The project team was attracted to the DirtGlue paving option because they liked the more natural aesthetic of the gravel/DirtGlue finish, it was more in-keeping with the surrounding flora and fauna.

DirtGlue is classified as non-toxic, so this attribute was also extremely relevant to their project.

In early 2021, Greentrack Tasmania engaged approved DirtGlue installers, SLS Landscaping Group, to complete the track build.

The track project is expected to be completed in June 2021.
